To undertand the cycle of life, you must first understand death to know life. The crows symbolize the take off and the landing. Life and death.
The world is your playground...
The world is your playground was inspired by children who have limit access to playgrounds, or parks etc. Children in the ghettos and slums who feel they will never see anything but. By merging a photo of a playground in the projects and someone holding the earth in their palms, centering the actual playground inside the earth, the picture was created. Giving them hope by showing them that the world is theirs and everything in it.
Groovy Pandas
Groovy Panda, a colorful upclose and personal view of Baby Giant Panda bears. The Ying-Yang in the corner expresses the relationship of gentleness and strength of the panda bear. Also the balance of white and black in the coat. The colors gives a calm, sensual feeling.
"Greedy Zombies" Enlightening the World.
This design was made for a New Orleans based rap group, as the cover art for their songs, "The Enlightenment". The idea I was going for was a mental elevation or spiritual enlightment through an image of a historic landmark that people would recognize . The brain acts as the torch in this image to symbolize the actual enlightenment in which shall take place after you listen to their song. As you can see the light is shining from beind the brain. The color choice for the group name was inspired by the togetherness and unity, blood. The second choice was white, for purity, and light for the word enlightening. World is the same color as the statue explaining the concrete nature of the world, and what it needs to break from. The clouds in the background help the viewer to fully understand the mental elevation part, by positioning the brain in the clouds. The "GreedyZombies" graffiti tag expresses the artistic nature we all need to embrace.
